By Jacqueline McGarry
I saw you in the trees today.
Between them, actually.
It was hard to find you at first.
You know how to hide really well.
It’s not easy to hide
during Autumn months.
Bare branches like television static,
carried by black and white in the wind.
I was lucky to catch you
between the dark and light flickers.
I don’t see you very often.
I really wish I did.
It’s like peekaboo.
You are here, and I am lost in you.
You are there
and I am lost without you.
